Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Aim

Reed’s is a private school with a rich history based in Cobham, Surrey. A big part of the school’s history and tradition is their affiliation with former students, referred to as ‘Old Reedonians.’ During the Second World War, pupils from Reed’s were evacuated to the Devon town of Totnes from the school’s original location in Watford, before eventually moving to the current site at Cobham following the end of the war. 2021 marked the 75th anniversary of this event and in celebration of this Reed’s wanted to produce a film focussed on the Old Reedonians that made the journey from Watford, to Totnes, and then to Cobham.

What we did

Filming spanned over the course of several shoots taking place in Cobham, Totnes and Ramsgate. Interviews were filmed face to face with four Old Reedonians, with several others being conducted virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. B-Roll footage was captured at the site in Cobham, as well as in Totnes. We also had to source a great deal of archive material to showcase relevant moments that occurred during the 1940s that would be mentioned in the film. During the editing process we worked very closely with Reed’s to perfect the film and ultimately concluded the project with a 30-minute piece detailing the events surrounding the school during the Second World War. We also provided Reed’s with a variety of behind the scenes photographs from each shoot.
