FAQs
-
Costs for video production vary enormously depending on the scope of the project and the logistics that may be involved. For example, a video shoot may require multiple crew members, several shoot dates and an external location - all things that are a cost consideration. We typically charge £500-£2,000 + VAT at the lower end of the scale, this could be for something like photographing a small event, a series of short social media videos or a simple talking head piece. For more complex projects such as brand films, these can cost anywhere between £1,000-£10,000 + VAT, it all depends on the logistics.
For photography projects the costs involved are lower, but again it depends on the specific requirements of the brief.
With any project you will be provided with a fixed cost that will not change unless the scope of the project deviates away from the original agreement.

Similarly to the question regarding costs, if we provide you with a quote that is simply beyond your budget, tell us what you’re working with and we’ll let you know what we can provide within that cost. Chances are we’ll still be able to make something fantastic, it may just involve having to compromise on a few things.
-
This will depend on how busy things are at the time, but clients can expect to receive a first draft within a fortnight of the final shoot date. For photographs, these are delivered within 48 hours.
-
Ideally we require a minimum of 2 weeks notice before any shoot takes place, however we can accommodate last minute projects so long as we have availability and everything is communicated clearly. This is usually only applicable to smaller projects, for large campaigns these cannot be done at short notice as you need an element of pre-production.
-
Although we have many regular clients, none of them are on retainers. This is typically because the scope of work is always changing, but also because we don’t want clients to feel they have to commit to a monthly fee for a sustained period of time.
Unless it was a preference on the client side, we would never engage you in a long-term contract unless you had a defined plan for monthly content and guaranteed budget to make it happen. That said, we are always looking to enter into long-term partnerships, so if you have a need for regular content creation - get in touch!
-
If we’re creating a brand film it is beneficial for you to have a good amount of input - after all, you know your business best! We normally have several 30-minute meetings with clients prior to shooting where we run through the plan of action as well as any logistics. On the other hand, the client may only need to have minimal input if we’re shooting something such as an event.
-
Yes, we will provide you with a list of questions tailored to each interviewee and the messaging you want to get across in the video.
-
Absolutely! All of our client’s projects, including the raw files, are backed up several times and stored safely for years to come. This way, if you want to tweak an existing video in the future we can make that a seamless process.
-
Completed work is sent to you via WeTransfer which is a digital file sharing site. From there, you will have 4 weeks to download the files. If you have requested raw footage (additional cost), this will be sent to your address on a physical hard drive.
-
Of course! It’s natural to want to tweak your video slightly and we’re more than happy to offer clients up to 3 rounds of amends per edited video. Depending on the extent on the changes, we can go beyond this if it’s something minor. Additional costs would only be incurred if it involved wholesale changes to the edit.

In terms of camera equipment, we shoot video on the Netflix-approved Sony FX6 Cinema Camera, as well as the Sony A7S III. For photography, we use the Sony A7R V. This is complimented with a range of Sony G Master lenses and professional lighting/audio equipment.
-
We work predominantly on a business to business basis which means we do not cater for weddings, parties, christenings etc. However, please do feel free to contact us regarding this as we can put you in touch with those in our network that are more specialist in this area.
-
It depends on the costs involved in the project and if we are having to hire in external crew, locations etc. If that is the case, we will require a 50% deposit, but if it isn’t then we usually issue an invoice with 30 day terms immediately after the final shoot date.
-
The majority of our work is done in London, Essex and the surrounding areas, however we carry out shoots nationwide having filmed in Scotland, Devon and a few places in-between!
-
It’s rare, but we do occasionally collaborate with agencies and larger production companies to provide filming support.
